Bomdila
About one-third of the journey time from Tezpur to Tawang, Bomdila is a pleasant small town winding lazily up a hillside, with large Gaden Rabgye Ling (GRL) Buddhist monastery at the top (about 2600m), some 200m higher than the centre. If you're overnighting here, there isn't much to do apart from exploring the market or visiting the colourful monastery.
